With the start of each new year, the team at Fort Point Beer Company begins to feel a familiar sense of excitement about what lays just around the corner: SF Beer Week.

SF Beer Week is one of the largest and longest beer events in the Bay Area, with hundreds of events occurring over the span of nine beer-filled days. This year we’ve been preparing by brewing several different beers just for this festival (read more about them on this blog post from our head brewer). Our Experience Team always works tirelessly to put together the best events possible, finding new and interesting ways to connect with you guys — our fans — as well as bringing back tried-and-true favorites (hello, Dim Sum Brunch!). Below you’ll find a lineup of our events for SF Beer Week — we hope to see you at one or more of them!

SF Beer Week Gala

Friday, 2/9, 5:00PM — 10:00PM | 📍Pier 35

The SF Beer Week Opening Gala is the largest, most anticipated annual gathering of the Northern California craft beer community, featuring over 120 breweries serving the most creative and compelling beers the region has to offer. Our brewers will be on-site pouring all of our specialty Beer Week releases.

Dim Sum Brunch

Saturday, 2/10, 1:30PM — 4:00PM | 📍Hong Kong Lounge

Come hungry for soup dumplings, Peking duck, coffee pork ribs, and many more Dim Sum classics, served alongside Fort Point’s KSA, Villager, Park, Westfalia, and Animal. All event proceeds benefit the Richmond District Neighborhood Center.

Fort Point Ferry Building Tap Takeover

Saturday, 2/10, 10:00AM — 8:00PM | 📍Fort Point Ferry Building Kiosk

Fort Point is excited to release some new specialty beers, just for SF Beer Week! Head to the Ferry Building to try them all or get a growler fill.

Beer + Whisky Tasting

Monday, 2/12, 6:00PM — 10:00PM | 📍The Douglas Room

Fort Point’s Head Brewer, Mike Schnebeck, and Eric MacDonald with Macallan will walk you through four beer and whisky pairings while discussing the different techniques that create the wide array of flavor profiles in whisky and beer.

Beers, Brats, and Cheese

Monday, 2/12, 5:30PM — 10:00PM | 📍Mission Cheese

Taste your way through three cheese pairings, enjoy a delicious Makers Common brat, and finish it off with a gouda chocolate chip cookie pairing. Each course will be paired with a different Fort Point beer and Head Brewer Mike Schnebeck will share tasting notes.

Producer Dinner with 18 Reasons

Tuesday, 2/13, 6:30PM — 9:30PM | 📍18 Reasons

Enjoy a special five-course dinner created by 18 Reasons’ Chef Mike Weller while breaking bread and drinking beer with Fort Point’s Head Brewer, Mike Schnebeck.

Beer + Design Panel

Tuesday, 2/13, 6:00PM — 10:00PM | 📍AIGA

Our distinct packaging, designed by Manual, plays off of the landscape of San Francisco; Lombard Street on Animal, Sutro Tower atop Villager IPA, the Golden Gate Park windmill on Park. AIGA SF will host our founder Justin Catalan to talk about what it means to be a design-driven company, Fort Point’s love and commitment to SF, and of course that hoppy, bubbly nectar — beer.

Beer + Data 101 with Fort Point and the USF Data Institute

Wednesday, 2/14, 6:00PM — 9:00PM | 📍USF Data Institute

Does beer really taste different from a can versus a keg? How does Fort Point use data to optimize efficiency from production to delivery? Learn from the experts at the Data Institute along with Fort Point founder Justin Catalana. Enjoy a tasting of Fort Point beers including the newly released Resonance.

Fort Point + PROXY Present “Blade Runner 2049”

Thursday, 2/15, 5:00PM — 9:00PM | 📍Proxy SF, Hayes Valley

Save the date for our free outdoor movie screening of “Blade Runner 2049” at Proxy SF in Hayes Valley! Sip on Fort Point Beer and nosh on Del Popolo pizza during this action-packed event.

Tap Takeover at Gott’s

Thursday, 2/15, 5:00PM — 8:00PM | 📍Gott’s Ferry Building

Fort Point Beer Company is taking over the taps at Gott’s Roadside! Come enjoy a special dish of beer-battered fish & chips made with one of our beers.

Beer Week NightLife

Thursday, 2/15, 6:00PM — 10:00PM | 📍California Academy of Sciences

Celebrate SF Beer Week with an evening of brews and science! Sip your way through a pop-up beer garden with dozens of breweries, pick up tips on the art of homebrewing, and check out fascinating demos by local brewers.

2nd Annual Fort Point + 4505 Luau

Friday, 2/16, 5:00PM — 10:00PM | 📍4505 Meats

Join us at 4505 Burgers & BBQ as they dish up island-style meaty fare to complement a one-off Fort Point tropical cask beer. Additional Fort Point beers will be available in a tap takeover on 4505’s patio. Luau attire strongly encouraged!

Goldsworthy in the Presidio Walk with Fort Point

Saturday, 2/17, 2:00PM — 6:00PM | 📍Presidio Officers’ Club

Led by Presidio Trust Docents, hikers will explore Andy Goldsworthy sculptures including the Spire, Wood Line,Tree Fall, and Earth Wall. Following this guided tour, enjoy a tasting of Fort Point beers including the newly released Resonance! The Fort Point team will be on site to chat.
