ONLINE ORDERS

We fulfill orders Monday - Friday, with same-day delivery in SF and next day shipping across CA.

- San Francisco: 1-hour, same-day delivery M-F if ordered before 6pm. Orders are delivered between 1pm and 7pm.

- Throughout California: Overnight delivery - order by 5pm.

Right now we fulfill same-day deliveries in SF between 1-6pm Monday through Friday.

SF delivery orders placed Saturday or Sunday will go out for delivery at 1pm on Monday.

- Order before 6pm to have your beer delivered the same day Monday to Friday.

- Orders placed after 6pm will be delivered the next day between 1pm-2pm.

Order before 5pm to have your order delivered the next day anywhere in California. Deliveries are fulfilled by GLS and will arrive between 8am to 8pm. A few things to note:

- Our next-day shipping service does not deliver on Sundays. If you order before 5pm on Friday, you should receive your order on Saturday.

- Orders placed after 5pm on Friday or during the weekend will go out Monday morning and be delivered on Tuesday.

- If you order after 5pm on a weekday, that order will count as being entered for the following day and you will receive your package the day after that (i.e. if you order after 5pm on Tuesday, you will receive your order on Thursday).

Currently, Fort Point Direct deliveries are only available to addresses in the state of California.

To purchase beer on Fort Point Direct, you may use a credit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, and Elo.

Yes! The delivery person will check your ID against your order to confirm you are 21+. Packages cannot be left unattended, so please plan to be available to accept your delivery!

Quality is extremely important to us, please reach out so we can make it right! If possible, include the following information so we can pass it along to our Quality Team:

- Beer or cider style

- Package style (4-pack, 6-pack or 12-pack)

- Purchase location

- Time and date stamp on the bottom of the can

- Batch number on the bottom of the can (the four digits following the pound sign)

Fort Point will provide a refund for orders with damaged or incorrect products. Refunds must be initiated within 24 hours of delivery by contacting shop@fortpointbeer.com along with pictures of damaged or incorrect beer. Refunds will be made to the original payment method. All apparel (hats, shirts, sweatshirts) are final sale.

No, if you are not ordering alcoholic beverages, you do not need to be 21+ years old to place an order.

If you’d like to use a Fort Point gift card you purchased through our Square site, please email us at shop@fortpointbeer.com with the gift card number, your name, email, and balance on the card (which can be checked here). We'll transfer that gift card balance to a new card that can be used online.

For reference, we have two different gift card systems and two different types of gift cards — one for our taprooms and one for our online webstore, Fort Point Direct.

- If you have a Fort Point physical gift card or Square gift card, that gift card can be redeemed at any of our taprooms in person.

- If you have a Fort Point Direct gift card (purchased and sent via email), you can use that at checkout from a purchase at www.fortpointbeer.com/shop.

Yes! A few quick details --

All of our keg orders are pick-up only unless over $2,000. Keg order pick-up and keg shell return is at the Fort Point brewery (644 Mason Street). Each keg has a deposit of $40 that will be refunded when the keg shell is returned. Keg shells must be returned within 30 days.

Yes! If you’d like to make a large order, please fill out our Bulk Order form with your contact information and the styles & quantities you'd like. Please note:

- If you’d seven or fewer units of a given  style, we suggest placing your order directly on our website. Don't see enough in stock? Fill out our Bulk Order form.

- Orders of 10 or more items qualify as a bulk order. With bulk orders we’ll create a custom order for you, send you an invoice that can be paid online, and coordinate order pickup at our Presidio brewery (644 Mason Street). Fill out the form to get the process started!

- We are happy to work directly with caterers as well. 

BEER & CIDER

All of our available canned beers and ciders can be ordered for delivery to anywhere in California via our online store. You can also find local bars, restaurants, and retailers that carry our products through the Stockists page on our site.

If you’re in California and looking for a bar, restaurant, or store that carries our beers or ciders near you, email us and we’ll point you in the right direction!

Currently, Fort Point beer and cider is only sold and distributed in California, a small part of Arizona, and internationally in Japan. Our direct delivery service, Fort Point Direct, only ships within California as well due to interstate alcohol shipping restrictions.

The date inked on the bottom of our cans, and stickered on our packaging, is the date the item was packaged.

We recommend consuming your Fort Point within these timeframes for maximum freshness.

- Within 90 days from package date: Animal, Villager, Lobos

- Within 120 days from package date: KSA, Westfalia, Sfizio, Super Dry, Super Natural

We don’t run any industry standard testing for gluten levels so we can’t make any claims about how high or low gluten levels are in our beers. However, we do use an enzyme to control haze levels in a few of our beers that indirectly lowers gluten content.

The beers that occasionally use this enzyme are Sfizio, Animal, and Villager.

Yes! We’ve received requests for gluten free Fort Point for a longgg time and we’re excited to finally have an option for every Fort Point fan. 

Each Limited Beer release is part of our Limited Series so its intention is just to be available for a short time (often a month or less) before we release our next beer in the series. Our Limiteds allow us to do R&D on different styles and beers we want to experiment with, but there's always a chance that one of them comes back at some point if we feel like it was worth revisiting. If there's ever a Limited you particularly love, best to stock up on it before they sell out!

Nope, we never add sugar to our ciders. There are a couple grams (2, to be exact) of naturally occuring residual sugar, which is actually a whole lot less than other dry ciders. Our beers have always leaned “dry” – naturally our ciders do too!

Surprisingly not! This was something that made Super Natural R&D really fun, we took on the challenge of figuring out how to recreate the taste, color, and vibe of rosé in a cider… without using wine grapes. 

We turned to dried botanicals, specifically tart hibiscus and subtly sweet rosehips, to achieve rosé blush hue and characteristic fruity, floral, and tannic flavor. 

Both of our ciders come in at the same range for a 16oz serving:

  • Calories: 210
  • Fat: 0g
  • Sodium: 15mg
  • Total carbohydrates: 8g
  • Total sugars: 2g
  • Added sugars: 0g
  • Protein: 0g

LOCATIONS

Our two taprooms are open: Fort Point Valencia and Fort Point Ferry Building. We made the decision to permanently close Mill Valley Beerworks during the pandemic. Fort Point Rockridge and Fort Point Lower Haight also closed in June 2022.

All of our taprooms are first-come, first-serve, and do not take reservations.

We are not currently hosting any large groups for special reservations or organizing any private events at our taprooms for the foreseeable future.

You are still more than welcome to bring your group to one of our taprooms during our open hours if you'd like to visit.

Yes!

At Fort Point Valencia, we have 4 tables outdoors (seat 4 people each) open all day and night.

At Fort Point Ferry Building, all of our seating is outdoors. We have permanent covered seating right next to our kiosk underneath the awning of the building. We also have an expanded beer garden with additional seating on the embarcadero just in front of our location that setup from Sundays to Fridays (closed on Saturdays due to the farmers market).

Children are welcome at all of our locations.

Outdoor tables are available at all of our locations and dogs are always welcome outside. Unfortunately, pets are not permitted inside per the SF health code.

Yes, we offer growler fills at all of our locations!

We offer stainless steel Fort Point growlers for purchase, available with or without a fill of beer. You can also bring in your own growler and purchase a growler fill.

Once the beer is first placed in a vacuum-sealed growler, it is good for up to 5 days. After you break the initial seal and the cap is opened, beer is best if consumed within 24 hours.

BEER CLUB

Your club membership begins the day you sign up, and your first order will arrive within 1-2 business days. Following orders ship every two or four weeks, based on your start date and the cadence you selected.

All Beer Club orders will ship through GLS with next-day shipping.  

Absolutely. Our club is flexible, so you can change up your case mix with every shipment. We’ll give you a heads up a couple days before your order processes so you have time to make edits. 

Yes! You can pause and resume at any time. 

You’ll receive free shipping on every club order, and you’ll easily be able to add additional products to your biweekly or monthly order if you’d like to try new beers or throw some goods in the mix.

You can customize your Beer Club order to include either four or eight 6-packs or 4-packs. You can also choose from either sticking with all Core six-packs, all Limited four-packs, or a combination of the two to build your custom Beer Club order.

That’s up to you! You can have your Club order shipped every 2 weeks or every 4 weeks, depending on what works best. You can also delay shipments, pause, or cancel any time. 

You can manage your subscription on our website in the Fort Point Account portal, or via email or text message. To login to the Account portal, head over to the Fort Point account page

To login to your subscription account, you’ll use the same email you used for your subscription purchase. 

To make modifications to your upcoming orders via SMS text messages, reply to the subscription confirmation text message we sent you after your initial purchase with “Modify Order.”

Yes! You can pause, skip or cancel at any time by logging into your subscription account to make those updates. If you need any additional assistance, email us at shop@fortpointbeer.com.

With your Beer Club membership, you’ll get early access to new beer releases, free shipping on all recurring club orders, and a 15% discount on Fort Point beers (draft and to-go!) at our taprooms. We’ll send you exclusive early access to new items, and other fun suprises straight to your email. The longer you’re in the club, the more fun stuff will pop up ;).

When you sign up, we’ll email you a link to your custom Membership Card. Just show that to any server at our locations and you’ll be able to use your taproom discount. 

Just text “START” to (877) 559-2349 to make any changes via text message, or log in to your Fort Point account via our website.

Yes! Currently, members can not make this update to their membership themselves, but we are happy to make that change for you and update your Beer Club type from one beer mix to another. Just email us at shop@fortpointbeer.com and we'll take care of you.

OTHER

Unfortunately, the Fort Point brewery is a production facility only and closed to the public. We’re located on federal land which makes it a bit tricky to host people or open a bar (trust us, we know you guys want it and that it would be awesome! 😉 Maybe one day).
